About the foundation
Children's Centre Foundation Thunder Bay provides financial support to children's mental wellness programs. We promote awareness of children's mental health issues through educational campaigns and engaging the community.
Children’s Centre Foundation works closely with Children’s Centre Thunder Bay to support programs and services that:
- Improve child and youth mental health
- Address children's developmental, social, and behavioural needs
- Strengthen the family's capacity to parent children and
- Build the community's capacity to support children, youth and families
Working together, Children's Centre Thunder Bay and the Foundation, strive to improve the quality of life for children and youth within their family and community environments.
WHAT WE DO
Children’s Centre Foundation Thunder Bay was established in 2004 as a registered charity, with the purpose of funding mental health education and prevention initiatives.
The Foundation supports a number of initiatives in the community, including preventative programming in schools, awareness campaigns, and mental health education for parents and teachers. We build partnerships with organizations, businesses and individuals to provide mental health education and training to strengthen our community’s capacity to support one another.
