Down Syndrome Support Group
Children's Centre Thunder Bay offers a Down Syndrome Parent Support Group to families with a child who has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. In recognition of this group's efforts, a donation was given to the Foundation to help increase access to musical therapy programming. The families have been working closely with Susan's Kindermusik and having a wonderful time!
The Kindermusik philosophy is "guiding our community"; recognizing that all children are musical, nurturing a child's cognitive, emotional, social, language, and physical development.
With the remainder of the raised funds, musical instruments and materials have been purchased for the group's use throughout the year.
