Children's Centre Foundation Thunder Bay is a non-profit charitable organization. The volunteer Board of Directors lead and support fundraising initiatives as well as allocate funds to programs, services and special projects at Children’s Centre Thunder Bay.
Our current Board of Directors consists of the following volunteers:

Christina joined the Foundation board as a Director in 2016. She has enjoyed sharing her passion for advocacy and education to improve awareness of mental health challenges in her hometown of Thunder Bay. Her commitment to improving children's mental health and wellness services will continue to drive her contributions to the Children's Centre Foundation through various fundraising initiatives and engagement opportunities.
Retired Regional Manager, Drivers and Vehicles, Ontario Ministry of Transportation
Mike was elected to the board in 2014 but has been involved in a number of capacities with the Children’s Centre and the Foundation prior to then. Mike was appointed Chair of the Board from 2016 to 2018 and currently holds the position of past chair. In his spare time he can be found on the golf course, at the curling rink or with his grandchildren. He is very proud to be a member of a very energetic and dedicated board.

Anna joined the CCTB Foundation Board in November 2011 as a Director.

fundraising aspect and engaging our community in awareness of the CCTB
Foundation. I recently retired from RBC as Regional Manager, Investment
and Retirement Planners for Northwest Ontario and now find that I have more
time to invest in advocating for mental health awareness in our community
through the Children's Centre Thunder Bay Foundation".

Shannon was born and raised in Nipigon, spent a few years in Toronto, and returned back to Thunder Bay 10 years ago. Having spent the majority of her life in Northwestern Ontario, Shannon is passionate about Thunder Bay and the people who choose to live here. She is looking forward to bringing her knowledge, compassion and commitment to the Board of Directors for Children’s Centre Foundation Thunder Bay.
Family and Estates Lawyer at Weiler Maloney Nelson
Margaret joined the board as a Director in 2019. She has a passion for children’s wellness and support services having seen the impacts in both her work and family life. Although originally from Southern Ontario Margaret moved to Thunder Bay in 2014 and now calls Thunder Bay home. She is dedicated to supporting services in this community and supporting the Children’s Centre Foundation. In her free time she can be found indulging her attention hungry feline, tending to her plants or enjoying a good book.
Realtor, Developer and Contractor
Spencer is a local Realtor, Developer, and Contractor. He is heavily involved in all aspects of Real Estate here in Thunder Bay. He is also a proud husband, and father of two energetic little girls. If Spencer isn’t working, you’ll normally find him spending time with his family, on the golf course, or volunteering his time as a director with the Children’s Centre Foundation.
Monique is a Registered Psychotherapist. She teaches Psychology at Confederation College. Monique has spent most of her life in Thunder Bay and is deeply committed to the community. She is passionate about children’s mental health and is dedicated to enriching the lives of children in our community and beyond.
